Calvin & Lisa Parker
President, Field Technology & Services Group
President, Course Development & Student Services Group
Lead Instructors  

Calvin is President of our Field Technology and Sciences Group and is a lead instructor who is available on forum and by email at calvin.parker@parker-training.com for enrolled students. Calvin is a “Certified Real Estate Inspector”, or  “CRI” with the National Association of Home Inspectors.  He has a Bachelors degree and Master’s work in Safety Engineering from Columbia Southern Univeristy. Calvin has been a home inspection professional since 1992, and upon retiring as a senior safety engineer with Lockheed Martin in 1999 he inspected property on a full time basis. To date he and his wife as a team have performed over 3500 inspections both residential and commercial including OSHA-type inspections. He is also a Professional Mold Inspector. Calvin has been a Mold Inspection, Home and Commercial property  inspection instructor for Hondros College and now for Parker Training Services for 5 years. Calvin enjoys interacting with students, and there is not much he has not seen in the inspection business, so he is a world of wealth to his students.  He is a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He has an extensive training and job record  which may be viewed at: www.parkersafety.com 

Lisa is President of Course Development and Student Services Group, is a lead instructor and available on forum and by email at lisa.parker@parker-training.com for students who wish to enroll, or students already enrolled. Lisa has a Bachelors Degree for Ohio University and Master’s work from Columbia Southern University in Safety Management. Lisa began inspecting homes with Calvin part time in 1992 and full time in 1999. She does course development work.. She also performs mold inspections and environmental risk assessments. She is a former licensed asbestos inspector for the State of Ohio. Lisa worked for Lockheed Martin as an Environmental, Safety and Health Coordinator, a Senior Safety Engineer, Project Manager and Dept Manager.  She is a dynamic speaker, and also does workplace violence seminars for women employees. Lisa has been a Mold inspection, Home and Commercial Property instructor for Hondros College and now for Parker Training Services for 5 years. Lisa was an Officer in the US Army Reserve. Her extensive training and job record may be view at: www.parkersafety.com 

Wayne W. Custer, P.E.
Structural & Engineering Instructor

Wayne is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, Indiana, and Virginia. A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, he has been working in both the public and private sectors as a Professional Engineer for over 35 years. A Vietnam veteran with experience with several central Ohio firms, he is now self-employed as a business and engineering consultant. Wayne is has completed his Home Inspection, Professional Mold Inspection, and Commercial Property Inspection training. Students will find him a wealth of information in our courses.

James Gaugh
Staff Instructor

James is an experienced Home Inspector. His experience in Home and Mold Inspection has benefited him greatly as one of our Staff Instructors. James' background as an instructor enables him to teach most of our courses and has been a welcomed asset to the staff and students. Not only will you see James in the classroom but he is also one of our online instructors. James is one of our traveling instructors. At present, his schedule is filled teaching our out-of-state (outside of Ohio) courses. He will be teaching in the Ohio courses in the future as we add instructors.

Jim Vaughan
Director, Information Technology and Marketing

Jim is available as an internet and marketing consultant for inspectors as a separate service, as well as to enrolled students who wish to expand their business services. He can also assist with customized presentations, website development, hosting and maintenance, and other 'musts' for today's inspection professionals. Jim will also be available in the forum for enrolled students. Jim is a graduate of the University of Maryland and has been working in the public and private sectors for over 30 years. A Vietnam veteran with experience with private firms as well as state and federal government, he has been instrumental in the development of PTS' marketing plan and website design. In addition to a B.S. in Communication and Marketing, and a certification in Web Site Design, he has also completed his Home Inspection and Professional Mold Inspection training. Students and current Home and Mold Inspectors will find him a wealth of information on marketing and business start-up.

Julie Jamison
Student Services Representative

Julie has 15 years experience in Customer Support and Services in the private sector. Julie receives and responds to all requests for information as well as making sure students are properly registered for courses and get the necessary information required to begin the course.

Guest Instructors

Our unique forum will have guest discussion leaders who are field leaders in the inspection industry or in technical fields where their input benefits inspection professionals.
